Team HRC in Step for AIDSWalk

Team HRC at AIDSWalk Central Ohio 2009Team HRC wants to thank everyone who helped make this year’s AIDSWalk Central Ohio a special one. An early morning mini-monsoon couldn’t keep hundreds from turning out to support ongoing efforts to prevent and educate against HIV infection and find a cure for AIDS.

“We all must do our part in raising awareness and funding for HIV/AIDS service organizations,” said HRC Columbus Volunteer Coordinator Candace DiGirolamo.

Officially titled the Dr. Robert J. Fass Memorial AIDSWalk Central Ohio, the event brought dozens of teams out to the Franklin Park Conservatory in the early morning hours. Comments from leading HIV/AIDS representatives in the Columbus community and a fun dance number from the renowned Flaggots troupe kicked off the walk.

Men, women and children of all ages strode through the beautifully manicured grounds of the consevatory as a show of solidarity against the HIV/AIDS crisis in Ohio, as well as beyond.

Team HRC raised $515 for AIDSWalk.
