Ohio Senate to Vote on EHEA

The Equal Housing and Employment Non-Discrimination Act is on its way to the Ohio Senate after Representatives voted 56-38 Tuesday, September 15, in favor of the historic equal rights measure.

The House vote came during the early afternoon after Ohio Representatives took a moment for "finalizing the verbiage to try to limit the potential for bad amendments from opponents," according to HRC Columbus Chair Terry Penrod, who attended the House session -- the first of Ohio legislators' for 2009-2010.
